TAAG Gallery
5/5/2012 to 5/13/2012
10am - 5pm
Five local artists are busy preparing for a special exhibition at TAAG in Northumberland Place, Teignmouth starting on Saturday 5 May. The exhibition is part of the annual “Six Days of Art” in Teignbridge, but TAAG will be open a full nine days, giving Teignmouth an extra three days to enjoy some very special pictures.
Three of the artists, Pat Bray, Josie Gould and Petra Lewin are close friends who graduated together from Plymouth University. Their work is contemporary, fresh and full of vibrant colour. By contrast Jane Branch and Des Maxwell Clark both have a more representational style.
Six Days of Art is the brainchild of another Teignbridge artist, Ben Yates who will be exhibiting at Mallards Barn, Ingsdon in Newton Abbot. There will also be art on show at 2-7 Devon Square Newton Abbot and at Hannah's at Seale Hayne. It is now established as a very important event in the regional art calendar, and Teignmouth can now be very proud of the contribution that TAAG has made to important initiatives in the art world such as this one.
“Six Days of Art” runs for a full nine days at TAAG between 5 and 13 May.
